This has been a tough week mentally and emotionally for me. We found out that someone from our agency who received her referral the same week as us will be having her son escorted home on Monday. I am super thrilled for her & love that her son is coming home to his forever family. It is however hard to process mentally knowing that we still have 3-5 more months to go. (most likely 4). Our paperwork was delayed at our agency due to something completely beyond our control & it made us miss the cut off date to have him home this year.
I am weary. I am tired. I am so so so so sick of waiting. I haven't heard anything new or seen any recent photos of him since his July visit. God knew I needed a pick me up & allowed us to receive notice that I can send a care package & to receive those birthday photos. It was such a huge boost to me. I really needed it. He should be going in for a check up in mid November & we are hopeful we will receive an update then.
The next 4 months are going to be pretty emotionally draining & I covet your prayers. And, if someone could invent a time machine I'd be so grateful!

An unexpected surprise...
We received an unexpected surprise in our mailbox on Wednesday. I opened up the mailbox to see a package addressed from our agency. It was a small photo album with 4 photos from a birthday celebration at with the children from our agency in Korea with April & May birthdays. Madden looks so cute in his traditional Hanbok. Can't wait to get my hands on that boy & kiss those cheeks!
(and he's totally sticking his tongue out when getting his photo taken with Korean actress Hee-Seon Kim. Being famous doesn't impress him! haha!!)
We just got a new scanner & I couldn't figure it out today. I'll replace these with scanned photos soon! haha!

Madden at 14 months
These are the most updated photos we have of Madden at this point. They were taken at his 14 month appointment back in July. Sigh. He is so big! Looks like I have a future percussionist on my hands!

Our Latest Care Package...
I posted in an online forum the other day asking if anyone else would be traveling to our agency in Korea this year and was surprised when I got a response that someone would be traveling and would take a care package for us! I was so excited! The last care package I mailed was sent in August & I didn't think he'd be getting anything else from us until we picked him up in February. I had to hurry up and get the package together because the one taking it was going to be heading to Korea in a matter of days. Tyler & I went to Target & TJ Maxx while the kids were at school and had fun shopping for our little guy! I've been lucky enough to send over 10 care packages during our wait...which is a lot!! But, it is all I can do for my guy, so I am having fun spoiling him rotten!

If you want to see more of the other care packages we've sent, you can view some here! There are also some other photos on Facebook, too!
